The Story.
Nomadness is a passion to pursue nature in the most natural forms. I want to give this to others who want to walk a path towards nature and away from modern norms.
How I’ve always been drawn to the natural world.
I feel like a caveman in modern day USA. I’m out eating sprouts, taking ice baths, doing breathing exercises, walking barefoot, swimming naked in cold rivers, and sleeping in my hammock. I’m always searching for the next peak to bag, finding my favorite wild flower to eat (Glacier Lilly) or hanging out with my spirit animal, the mountain goat.
Ive had these “hippie” tendencies from childhood when I wanted to emulate my Grandmother Zelda — Where my Húŋkpapȟa roots originate from as she is a tribal member of Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota. Without her, I wouldnt have the knowledge I do about our indigenous ancestors.
My grandmother taught me how to respect our Mother Earth, to hug the trees, and how to learn from nature. I want to live a life more like my ancestors did, living in harmony with Mother Earth. Though I didn’t grow up surrounded by my indigenous relatives, I do long to learn their culture and to express my heritage.
Which is how the Moccasins were born!
Ive always been an artistic person, in different forms over the years. Though the last few years its been based more towards technology, I wanted to take a step back from looking at a screen and begin working with my hands.
These moccasins are created with a combination of all the experiences I’ve been through, and knowledge that has been bestowed to me by others.
I’m here to help others find their Northern Nomadic..
